Dans un article (en anglais) du 16 septembre 2019, David L. Chandleur du MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) News Office expose les travaux réalisés par Yet-Ming Chiang, chercheur au MIT pour tenter de réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre produites lors de la fabrication du ciment, qui représentent 8% des émissions mondiales.
